I would not have noticed it if you hadn't pointed it out. But now that you have pointed it out, I'd say get rid of it. I'm not normally one for hacking around with pictures, but in a case like this there is nothing dishonest about removing it, and it detracts from what is otherwise a lovely portrait for an important occasion.
