They're both superb lenses, by all accounts. The 77 Limited is smaller and lighter (and sexier and more prestigious, yes). The 100/2.8 macro...does macro (supremely well, BTW. I have the "F" version). If you're a serious macro shooter, the choice is a no-brainer. If not, you just have to decide which of the two discracefully simplistic observations above suits you most.
