Is there a simple and inexpensive way to use my Sunpak 383 Super flash with my ZX-M and be able to hand-hold the flash away from the hot shoe? There doesn't seem to be any socket on the ZX-M body for the sorts of flash extension cords I see at the camera store.
Or maybe it's not so simple and inexpensive. In that case, what sort of pricey little adapter will I have to buy? I've seen little boxes that sit on the hot shoe and then have a wire that goes to the flash. They seem to be specific to the camera body for some reason I can't quite imagine. Item last. I can't seem to find it in my B&H catalog but aren't there little remote slave flashes that will sense the on-camera flash firing and chime in with their own flash to add fill from another direction? What is a common brand and model of something like that. I thought I had seen them in the past for like $29 or so but don't recall where. The reason for all of this is that I want to learn how to take a decent indoor portrait of a person without that albino-deer-in-the-headlights look that I get by just flashing that Sunpak 383 straight at them. - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List.
