Dear Ann,

Young? Not really...that boredom thing is a result of a dialogue
between me and my son, James:

James: "...I'm dying of boredom..."
me:" ...when you get to my age you'd wish you were dying of boredom... "

So then, it has become a mantra of sorts in the house to say "death by
boredom" or "suicide by boredom"...

...hasn't worked :-))
