One more thing. When I ordered my SMC 24mm f/2.8 wide-angle from KEH, I noticed the following item for $9.00 (EX condition):
PENTAX - 28 F3.5 TAKUMAR METAL PUSH-ON On Boz's K-mount page, under "lens hood" for the SMC 28mm f/3.5 it says: PH-S52; spring type sold separately with hood case Lo and behold, the lens hood for the SMC 24mm f/2.8 also says: PH-S52; spring type sold separately with hood case I took that to mean that the hood in question would work on my lens. >From looking back through the pentax-discuss archives, it seems like that will be a square plastic hood that slips on like a slip-on lens cap, right? I wonder how well it will work both in terms of staying in place and in terms of holding down flare. I guess this assumes that the front element on that lens doesn't rotate with focusing. - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List.
