Thanks Frank. The Meridian's running right round the middle of the earth. If I look out of my window I can see the laser beam that's projected along it from the Royal Observatory, but it doesn't run through that picture. If you put yourself in my shoes vis a vis the picture, then the Cutty Sark is on your left about 10 yards away, and the meridian is about 300-400 yards to the left of that. The camera is pointing roughly due south.
