I ditto Paul's welcome and appreciation of the micrographs...
I think you and I once had a discussion about viewing thin sections of
rocks under birefringence -
I used to use my background in art to help me identify them in my notes
- long time ago....
I like looking at the the whole lot of yours as a stained galss window
by a 50's abstract expressionist :-)
