Thanks, everyone!  I appreciate your comments!

This is actually a case of putting the ox before the cart (or a
chicken and egg question...?).  I'm not exactly a fan of selective
desaturation but months back I decided to try it out just to be able
to say that "I can do it" and so the photo sat in my hard disk all
that time.  Then while reading through old Calvin & Hobbes during the
Christmas break, it found its reason for being =D
