MIssed this one on Christmas Eve, and I'm still filtering through
older messages after 4 days away from the computer (today's my second
day back).

That's one lovely photo, Christine! Absolutely stunning!

All the best to you and Darrel during this festive season!

Thanks, Frank. I got a shot of one with antlers, but a fence was behind him, so I didn't use it for the holiday "card." We saw 5 deer Christmas Eve in the nature center, which used to be a tuberculosis center. It's right on Pulaski Ave. in between Peterson & Bryn Mawr Avenues in Chicago.

Anyway, the doe & a buck were outside the nature center wanting to get inside the nature center, and when we told the attendant in the field house, she said that if they really want to get in they'll jump the fence! The 3 we saw inside the nature center were preoccupied with eating out of the bird feeders. Then one jumped a smaller wooden fence, but I missed it because I couldn't move fast enough for good position because we were literally shin deep in snow. It was a lovely way to spend a few hours on Christmas Eve.

Hope you had a great holiday! Cheers, Christine
