Very nicely put Cesar.
Happy New Year to you and your family as well.

Greetings to the list,
First, I must apologize to the list for being quiet for so long. But then
again my silence may not be not be a bad thing :-) I have had too much
going on personally that I have had to sacrifice my time 'on the list'.
And
though it may be a celebratory time this post is not influenced by my
partaking on some 2002 Gannon Cabernet Sauvignon.
Ere I forget, Happy New Year!
I am just getting back from spending New Year's Eve with my parents and an
aunt. We celebrated the New Year in two USA time zones - one for the east
coast [New York City - where I am from and where my parents began their
life
in the USA], and one for the central time zone where we are geographically
located. We did end the night 'culturally' by having tamales and coffee.
It brings back many memories from my childhood. I did miss out on
torrijas
though :-(
I have no pictures to post yet - though I did take quite a few on the
31st.
I will go out to take some shots this New Year. I will be taking them
digitally [*ist D] along with medium format [Pentax 67] and possibly 35mm
[LX or Leica M3 or IIIf]. It has been too long since I have taken a 35mm
shot :-( I am sure I will bore you with the digital shots soon enough...
I
just remembered - I have the 645 format that I can shoot in too! Too many
cameras, too little time :-P
Tonight I was made aware of the importance of family - this was reinforced
by a list member who repeatedly poked me to get in touch. I will not
mention them by name, but suffice it to say that this list seems to be a
grounding of sorts for me. I must say that I am blessed not only by my
family by 'blood' but by the family that is this list. I must admit that
I
have come across a few 'families' in my meanderings. And I must reiterate
that this list is a 'family'. And the most recent goings on has
reinforced
this along with my history with the list. And I will not even go into to
Grandfather Mountain.
It is amazing how we, as human beings, react to 'arbitrary' conditions
like
the New Year as opposed to solstices and such.
It seems that even after a time away, all I need to do is to contact this
list and I get a grand welcome and in a sense an appreciated 'hug'. I
have
to thank you all for this.
I am too alert to go to bed so I turn to the list to speak my piece. No
matter how we may feel we know we can turn to this list.
I do have a shot now more or less ready to present to the list:
http://www.fotocommunity.com/pc/pc/mypics/583584/display/15480044
is a shot I took before 2008 expired. It is not a great shot, but does
document where I was and when...
Good light and working tools,
