Yes, the 540 flash head turns for vertical. Of course you can't use the built in bounce card in that position. But with the Lightsphere it's perfect. Since the sphere is round, I keep the head rotated 90 degrees for all shots, horizontal and vertical. When switching to vertical, it's just a matter of flipping it up.
