I haven't posted a PESO in a long time, which is totally out of character. That's due in part to the virtual reality photos biz, which has kept me really busy, shooting 1000 frames a week or so. It's also the result of a project I undertook: the restoration of our wedding photos. They were 37 years old, cracked and creased. All of them had taken on a deep maroon shade. I scanned each of about 70 on the Epson 3200 flatbed, restored the color and retouched them. The book was falling apart, so I bought a new Legacy album as well, which is the brand I sell to my brides. I would guess I have about 60 hours of work in that project, but it turned out well.
Which brings us to Grandma's birthday, where Grace presented her with the book. (Grace is our birthday elf and is the central figure at every event.). Here Grace waits anxiously while Grandma reads her card: http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=8461593&size=lg And here Grandma asks Grace, "who is that?" as she points to a wedding pic. Grace was amazed to discover that we were once very young: http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=8461593&size=lg I didn't use flash with these, primarily because I was being lazy:-). I shot them at ISO 1100, f4 @ 1/30th with the DA* 16-50/2.8 on the K20D. I used AWB and didn't correct color temp. I was pleased with the way the camera balanced the warm overhead tungsten and the cold window light. And that's all!
