Canadians are so amusing. Stars make quite sophisticated music, but just listening to their albums, I felt they tended to be a little "wet". However playing live, they truly rock out. High entertainment quotient.

Nice, Derby! One of my favourite bands (along with their counterparts - Broken Social Scene.

Some very nice images. I've never seen them live, but I agree with your sentiment about their albums. :)

I like to think Canadian and Aus musicians are pretty much on the same wavelength. There are more than a few Aus bands who have gotten their first international breaks through Canadian labels. And yes, I have a soft spot for Canadians (my first real romantic oh-my moment was caused by an exchange student from Dauphin, Manitoba)

Thanks to everyone who commented.

PS, Torquil dedicated a song to Grant McLennan and Robert Forster, which makes him tops in my book.
