I haven't read anything about it. It sounds like the classic headline "Small earthquake in Peru - not many dead". It's sad that this happens, but I guess it's inevitable. There are so many tragic things happening (and being reported), as well as our own smaller problems, every day that if we didn't filter stuff out we'd all go mad. For example, apart from the fact that Boris and family are over there, how many of us really pay any attention to what's going on in Gaza? We don't know anyone in the DR Congo, so do we give a moment's thought to what the LRA is doing over there? It's impossible to care about everything all the time. Even if we volunteer and go to DRC or somewhere, what we as individuals can do is still limited. For most of us the best we can do is contribute to institutions that work to relieve and prevent suffering.
