Cotty nailed it, as I expected he would. My wife and I have decamped to Oxford for a few months of sabbatical (being married to an historian provides nice travel opportunities). She is working on a couple of research projects, and I am going to plunge into a laboratory and catch up a bit on the march of science.
We've rented (let) a small row house (terrace) on a much less colo(u)rful street nearby. The sun came out for an hour or two yesterday afternoon, and we wandered about the neighborhood getting oriented. I'm very eager to meet PDMLers on this side of the Great Water, btw--please drop me a line if you'll be in London or Oxford!
