Agree with you about this second version - for me, the first one looks
better.
I don't use square framing that much, but very often I feel 35mm format
a little too long - either wide or tall. The photos I took with a 6x7 or
4.5x6 usually needed less tampering.

Second look - more like tenth, actually - the image feels better.
Still think about the square version... but that's just my taste, I'm
