Joan sang that early on, Bob Dylan wrote it.
Man, those were the days I remember listening to the best music and
harmonies.
Took some photos of Joan Baez at a concert in Golden Gate Park, SF for
some small time politishun name of Jerry Brown back in the day (1967),
with my black Spotmatic. Grace Slick performed (solo) that day as
well. I first met Joan in Cambridge Mass in 1959 when she was 18,
singing at the Golden Vanity coffee house. What a voice! Especially
in a small room (smaller than your average Starbucks). Sweet, but some
notes hurt your ears. I was just 18 myself, but have admired her from
afar ever since. Haven't seen her since a concert at the Paramount
Theater in Seattle some ten years ago.
