Subject: Test and Fisheye
Hello all,
So, the first past of this is a test, because I have send 4 messages to
[email protected] in the past 2 days and not a single one seems to get
through. I am on a mac using mail, so I don't know if that means I need
to do something special, but this is my last try to get messages through.
I was wondering what a good price for a used 10-17 fisheye would be. I am
looking at one for $320 (plus $15 shipping), which is much better than
the $389 listed on amazon, but the amazon lens is new. I have never
purchased a used lens before because my older lenses came from my dad. I
also would like some opinion on whether I should buy the fisheye now or
if I should wait and buy a 50 1.4 new instead. Decisions, decisions....I
may have a wedding in March (a friend, minimal pay but enough to cover
one or the other), so that is why I am looking at new glass.
You are probably set to send HTML.
I get a lot more use from my 50 than I do from my 10-17. I doubt very much
if I've used the fishy lens more than 3 or 4 times.
It's actually been in storage along with all my other AF lenses (well except
for the FA*200 Macro) for the last half year, and I haven't missed it.
I would miss not having a 50mm lens though.
Pentax looks to be ready to start shipping 55/1.4 lenses fairly soon, I saw
some pictures from one today on a Japanese user's website, so if you want an
FA 50/1.4, I'd do it soon. I expect when the 55 is released, the 50 will be
deleted. I suspect the 55 will be 3-4 times more money than the 50, which is
remarkably inexpensive.
