Thanks Rob,
It works. I had a roll of outdated tungsten film in the fridge, so I
loaded that in. Everything works fine. Shutter sounds good. MLU works.
I'm pleased. Now if someone would just enable a lens :-).
Seriously, there was a 90/2.8 is it? last night, and I bid $250
before bed, but that didn't make the reserve. I'm now starting to think
that maybe my first lens should be the 150/2.8. I would like to do some
portrait photography with this camera. I also thought the 150 might be a
good macro with an extension tube. Does anyone know how close it focuses
without a tube? I know I'm eventually going to want either the 105 or
90, but they're a bit short for portraiture. I thought I'd eventually
like to end up with the 55, 90, 150 and 400. I think I'd like the leaf
shutter lens for high speed flash synch as well. Isn't it a 175? But I
cant just rush our and buy them all (if I want to stay married :-). I
have to try to find a good deal on each of them, and kind of sneak them
in one at a time. (My wife noticed the 6x7 when it arrived today. It's
kind of hard to miss. She didn't grumble. Maybe I've finally trained her properly;-)
