=========== Copying or emulating others is a time honored way to master photography/painting. OTOH, developing one's own viewpoint/style is important too. I think of your efforts the B&W vine on brick comes close and the new one you've posted, vine on brick, comes even closer -- especially the post processing. Though I think vine on brick is a little too far away to be quite there. So as an exercise, it is somewhat successful. But if it was me, after I tried shooting like Godfrey for a while, then I'd go "now how would *I* do it differently?" (As in how would I do minimalist different?)
