Thanks, Rick. The second was shot on T-Max 100. I used a red filter stacked with a sharp edged graduated gray, tilted along the cloud line. Was a lucky guess. The third was taken at an elevation of about 9,000 ft. Thinner clearer atmosphere along with sun angle gave it the graduated tone. I believe a polarizing filter would have created too drastic a range, although I didn't try it. The conversion was per default settings in PS. I played with the color channels and while I preferred those results on the screen, I had a problem printing what I felt was a satisfactory B&W. Frustrating!
