Actually I was not referring to the serial numbers of the K-series 50 mm lenses (which are different from the serial numbers other K-lenses). I was referring to the serial numbers of the other lenses except the 50mm lenses <g>. I may be wrong but, the old style K-series lenses without 'mm' seem to have mostly serial number starting with 51-53 (54?), while the serial number of the new style lenses appear to start with 55 or higher.
