Funny - I was just looking at the tree in my neighbour's yard earlier
today, and thinking it would soon be time to have another try at getting
a shot I was really happy with.  As you have discovered, it's hard to
get just the right shot with plenty of the nice pink colour of the buds,
but without the flowers themselves looking a little tired and ragged.
Of the shots you posted I like the second one the best, but as you say
a little more depth of field would probably help.
