I think you're looking not for a film with more latitude but instead for one with lower contrast -- latitude is more like information held in the neg beyond the upper and lower limits of the paper to display that information when printed, and contrast is more like how much of that information gets to the paper. I'd recommend something like Fuji or Kodak's pro portrait films -- Fuji NPS 160 and NPH 400, or Kodak Portra 160NC and 400NC (but the Kodak Portra VCs are more contrasty, so you don't want 'em, likewise Fuji's NPC and Reala). For the ultimate in low contrast colour neg film, you can pick up some Agfa Portrait, but under most normal shooting conditions I find it too flat. -Aaron - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List.
