Recently updated Pentax Photo Lab v3.51 has shadow compensation option
in addition to highlight compensation and support for EDR. Visually
shadow comp looks as a fill in light that greatly improves detail of the
shadow. It works with K20D raw files as well as previous K10D, K100D as
well. Far as I know in-body jpeg development supports shadow
compensation starting from K-m (K2000). I rarely use Pentax Photo Lab
these days after I had the latest ufraw with lense lensfun correction
addon. Sometimes PhotoLab may be useful, especially to compare Pentax
own files with third party generated.
