Interesting, they look fine on the iMac, maybe a bit light on my home
desk top linux box and everything looks dark on my monitor at work.

I used a diffuser on the flash
# reflector 6-8 inches off to the side.
and a windshield reflector out of a car on the other side of the
flower for bounce. At least on some of them.
Maybe what I need is to grab my studio flash and umbrella, or get
someone to hold foamcore above the flower and light it entirely by
bounce.
