Last night I tested the new lenses for focus adjustment. The DA* 50-135
benefited from a -1 adjustment. No big deal.

To my surprise, the DA* 16-50 needed no focus adjustment.

Today I took the DA* 16-50 outside again to see if it still has the problem of
not autofocusing to infinity at 16 mm. I first focused on a distant building,
and it focused to infinity. Pleasant surprise. I then focused on some distant
bare branches, and it displayed the problem of focusing only to just beyond the
2 m. mark. I then focused on a different set of branches and it focused to the
far end of the infinity mark.

I'll try to find time soon to give both lenses a brick wall test to make sure
there is no decentering. If the 16-50 is okay on this score, then I'll just try
it for a while, but checking to make sure that it focuses to infinity properly
at 16 mm. It may still go back to Pentax to be looked at. Or maybe not.
