Frank, your pix =definitely= do not fall into the "bottomless" genre.  They are 
excellent.

Salgado is a great photographer, but is in the "bottomless" genre.  Agency VII 
has brilliant photographers, most of whom shoot color, but most of their stuff 
is in the "bottomless" category too.

W. Eugene Smith shot lots of depressing stuff, but did it with a grace and 
style that made it somehow uplifting.  Ditto Steve McCurry.  Not in the 
"bottomless" category.
