A lot of people thought that Kirkland Ramsey, Mafud and the Who were
one and the same. I tend to think that KR and Mafud were the same
person but probably not the Who. Brad Dobo, on the other hand, was
definitely a one-off. He was legitimately crazy and seemed to be
dangerous. Oh yes, he was an elementary school teacher in London,
Ontario as well.

Eventually he

I wonder if that forum is still online.
And then there was Bruce Rubenstein who seemed like a decent guy,

indignant

Checking the PUG -- I submitted my first photo in December 2002
(film,
K1000). That probably means I joined the list a month or two
before. Mafud
wasn't
around, but soon a crazy young guy was. Everyone tried to help him
with
photography advice and initially he seemed very grateful. But
eventually he
started raving at several members (WW in particular) and finally
left. I
totally
forget his name, it is better left in the misty past.
However, that's not what I really remember. I remember asking lots of
newbie
questions; labeling them newbie questions. WW was very helpful,
graywolf
too, and lots and lots of others. I must have asked about ten or more
newbie
questions over a period of months. I was totally impressed with the
willingness
to share experience and knowledge, so I stayed -- dropping off list
now and
then. Mainly when I got too busy to keep my mailbox cleared out. Or
simply
when it got so full that I was kicked off list. ;-)
I also remember appreciating frank well before a lot of others did.
But
that
may be self-flattering hindsight.
Heh.
Marnie aka Doe :-)
