I'm having the same problem on my work monitor, but it is always dark
and dim.
Good job though, that's a tough situation to shoot in.
At Friday Night Blues last week, my K100Ds + pfa 50/1.4 were doing OK
with the autofocus. It'd take a couple of seconds, so I'd prefocus,
lock it in and then shoot. A friend had a first gen EOS with a sigma
30/1.4 and couldn't autofocus.
