I have only seen the Seine in Paris, and it is not as rural-looking as your photo - which is beautifully composed, by the way. However, some parts of the Thames look a bit like that, but with a wetter green and considerably fewer palm trees. The photo does bring to mind several French paintings of river scenes at places such as Argenteuil and La Grande Jatte.
