Hi Larry, I have one of these (Vivitar S1 Macro 105/2.5 by Kiron), and can confidently say that is indeed very sharp; the only flaw I found is some occasional CA / sensor blooming (I can't really tell the difference). Is very nice to handle and in my experience balances quite well with K10D/K20D or *ist bodies.
I haven't done so many macros, but I dug these from my flickr stream, can get you the originals if you find them useful: http://farm1.static.flickr.com/76/196316655_709a2466a1_b.jpg http://farm1.static.flickr.com/173/369462123_698d2dd0f7_o.jpg http://farm1.static.flickr.com/172/381362880_7463414d6a_b.jpg http://farm1.static.flickr.com/123/381363061_a5359d7420_b.jpg http://farm1.static.flickr.com/54/135153654_6bf0431a5c_o.jpg On Sat, Feb 21, 2009 at 7:13 PM, Adam Maas <[email protected]> wrote: > On Sat, Feb 21, 2009 at 7:08 PM, Larry Colen <[email protected]> wrote: >> I've got a DFA 50/2.8 macro and it works great.
