I'd second that, in it's class it can't be bettered for the money, even the 
build is decent. I found it better than my FA 80-320 and F 100-300 which I've 
now sold, both. I've tried various Sigmas but non copared well. The Tamron made 
a nice combination with the DA 16-45 for travel.

Forget it. It had bad reputation on film and even worse on digital.
really, find the cheap Tamron 70-300, it will serve you better.
