A buddy of mine bought one when they first came out and loaned it to me for a couple of weeks. I read two books on it. It's usable, I like the search and bookmark capabilities, and its handy to have several books available in a small package. But 'a very pleasing reading experience'.. ? No, I didn't find it that. It seemed sterile and flat, just an information player where the information is a text stream.

When it comes to mechanized book players, I prefer audio books. They have more life to them, there's a notion of performance involved which is evocative of mood and more similar to what it feels like when I read a book.
