Ann, I know more than I care to know about Vivitar lenses (and I'm sure there are plenty on this list who know much more than me), so please give us the details of the lens and between us we'll probably answer your questions. All that's needed is focal length, aperture and first two numbers of the serial number. A photo also helps, but only because it's lens porn.
