I have only used 2 Voigtl�nder  lenses - 4.5/15 mm and 1.7/35 mm - and they are good. 
The R body seems to be priced at about 900 USD - cheap only when compared with Leica. 
The camera and lenses are indeed made by Cosina in Japan.
