Hi Rob,

Not at all. I did the gradient on my Mac, like you said, and as the 
cursor moves across from white to black, there's a point in the middle 
where the cursor 'crackles' a bit  it sorta is half-white, half-black, 
and then as it goes past half way, into the black, it turns completely 
white.
