Not exactly true  ... there is a town in Alaska called North Pole, and
from it one can go east, west, north, or south.  This is where Santa has
his shop and his home.  Mrs. Claus is often seen at the local market or
bank during the months before Christmas.  After the New Year they head
to Winter Park, Florida, where they have a very nice home  and many
relatives and friends.
