I agree with Paul. Perspective control with software is a valuable tool, particularly with tall structures that will usually have a "falling backwards" appearance when photographed from ground level. Whether it's appropriate or desirable depends on the image and the effect the photographer wants to convey.
With your tower image it may not work well because of the limited space above the top of the tower.
