Wow, that just seems kinda strange. I can go into a coffee shop and buy something that's technically illegal, though tolerated, then I have to go out on the sidewalk to smoke it? Though, it's not like the sidewalks around those coffee shops weren't already filled with marijuana smoke. :-) I always assumed that part of the whole "coffee shop" thing was to keep those folks in the coffee shop instead of out on the street smoking.

I must admit, though, that I've been in a couple of those coffee shops where you could smoke marijuana in the coffee shop, but not cigarettes. One was even a "cigar and weed bar" so to speak, no other smoking allowed.
