Try the HP - it won't hurt the printer at all.  Let me know how it works out as I have 
some left over, too, but I haven't tried it yet.

For satin paper I like Ilford Classic Pearl - a soft sheen and it works well with the 
C80 even though it is said to be made for dye - my experience has shown differently.  
But you may need to tweak the colors or get a custom profile for it as I did.
