Pentax SMC m100/ 2.8 compared to Takumar SMC 135/ 2.5 in ancient times.
Test made with Panatomic X and old Kodak resolution sample targets
(actually part of some Kodak brochure).
The difference is rather small, perceptible wide open to 5.6, very close
to imperceptible past 5.6 to about 11, then perceptible again. The m100
is sharper, has an edge on flare control and is much smaller. All tests
performed with lens shade, and afterwards I started using the 135 with a
modified hood to get the flare still less of a problem.

Great shot Bob! Lovely light!
Charles, I had both and the m100 is sharper wide open, matched from
5.6 and sharper again past 11. In the end I kept the 135 2.5 and
started looking for an 85 I never managed to buy.
Thanks, Luiz.
