Hi BT,
An additional point of consideration could be the minimum focussing
distance. My SMC-M 80-200 has a minimum focussing distance of 1.6m. There
seems to be a SMC-M 80-200 with a smaller minimum focus, but I have never
seen one. 1m60 was not close enough in situations where I wanted to
photographe small children or small animals moving around in the room.
Before you know they are too close and out of focus. In these cases 1.1 or
1.2m is much more convinient.
