I have a Pentax 6x7 outfit. Body, 8 or 9 lenses, bellows,
viewfinders, lots of minor accessories.
It's lasted me almost 25 years now, and at it's present rate of use,
should last well into the 22nd century.
New purchase price was close to 20K for the kit, right now, the best
offer I have on the table is ~$3500.00 on consignment, which means I
don't have an offer, just a value, and that value is rather a kick
in the crotch.
I know your testicular pain. I paid over $1250 for my 67 bellows and
slide copier in 1996, and could get no more than $500 for the pair
when I sold them, unused, in 2000, 'cause I needed the money.
The fact that this equipment still has lots of life in it is
completely irrelevent regarding it's value.
Until it breaks. Being Pentax "Pro" gear, it's still repairable, I
believe, or better yet, replaceable very economically these days.
