The K10D has been my backup since I purchased the K20D, but it's
time to put it to use on a regular basis for the virtual tour work.
I much prefer the new camera, but my exposure total is climbing
rapidly. That's due to those VTs. Each assignment is around 300 to
350 exposures, so I'm now closing in on 20,000 frames. I shoot only
10 megapixel jpegs for the VTs that I do on contract, so the K10D
will be adequate. I think it still has less than 10,000 exposures on
theclock. I also wish I had kept my DA 16-45 for these jobs. The
DA*16-50 is overkill as well. Sometimes less is more.
if you want something cheaper and less intimidating than the DA*
16-50, consider the Tamron 17-50/2.8 - great IQ in a smaller, lighter
package, and you still have that f2.8 option...
Regards, Jim
