I attended a car/motorcycle show today. I took my *ist D along with a couple of LX and my 67. I did not shoot the 67. Due to the bright sunshine I decided to use my Sekonic L-358 (in incident mode) because I could readily switch the reading between two ISO settings. I admit to being lazy, I did not want to estimate how much I needed to underexpose to get a good photo. I also had my Sekonic Studio Deluxe 398 and Minolta Flash Meter III in the car. Due to space constraints I needed a wide angle lens. I used the 31 Limited on the LX and the M 1:4 20mm on the *ist D.
This shot was at 1/1000 at f/8.
But dealing with the subject line, I have shot with Nikon and Canon lenses in the past and always had to be aware of where the sun was in the shot. Not with Pentax. An example is at: http://cesar_abdul.home.mindspring.com/prfb1965.jpg This is a Poppy Red 1965 High Performance GT Pony Interior Fastback. I used to have one that did not have the High Performance engine and had a black Pony Interior. As you can see there are highlights from the sun. It was almost too harsh for the naked eye, but the lens had no problem.

Comments appreciated...
