They've dropped an offer leaflet through my door to tell me that fibre-optic broadband is now available on my street, and I can get it with a TV package and phone for £14- per month, which seems quite cheap.
http://allyours.virginmedia.com/websales/product.do?id=15157 So, looking a gift horse straight in the mouth, is anyone else using it, and if so is it any good, and what are the downsides? I currently have BT ADSL broadband through twisted copper wire, no TV other than what my steam-driven set picks up (BBC1 & 2, ITV 1, Channels 4 & 5), and a BT landline. I feel like one of the apes in 2001 Space Odyssey contemplating the monolith.
