We took a ramble through the countryside around the small Oxfordshire town of Watlington yesterday. It was fairly warm (~10C) and hazy, but beautiful. The hedges are brown and most of the trees are still bare, but there are many signs of spring.

Looks so familiar ... I was "in the neighborhood" with my friends Richard and Pat Day last Fall, before visiting Cotty for a couple of days, and we went to several overlooks with these kinds of views. I've tried to relate it to the specific places we stopped (we went to Cirencester and stopped at one overlook/hill fort on the way back to Gloucester) but haven't found the specific reference in my notes yet. I think this is several tens of miles further east, though.

Pretty countryside. :-)
