Excellent picture to show the capabilities of the lens. I am convinced :)
What I would like to ask is the performance of the lens? How fast it
focuses and how precise the focus with the K20D? How much it hunts in low
light? How much post process included on the picture?

AF is very slow. This was what prompted my question about updating the
firmware on the K20. I was hoping that they had done something with the
firmware that would accelerate the SDM focusing.
As for what I did to that image, I opened it in Photoshop out of Lightroom.
The first think I noticed was that I had not secured as much DOF as I would
have liked, so I hit it gently with Focus Magic, which brought the camera
and eyes into similar focus as the tip of his nose (which looks to be where
I focused). I used Neat Image to reduce the colour noise, and then resized
it for the web and gave it a couple of gentle nudges with USM, as is my
habit with images for the web.
