is this 40/1.4 optic dedicated to micro-4/3?

Hi Boris,

Effectively. It's an Olympus Pen F G.Zuiko 40mm f/1.4 lens, that means the mount register is 28.9mm .. too short to be adapted to any of the DSLRs. Micro-43 has a mount register nominally 20mm, so it works fine with the G1 using an adapter.

Addendum to this question: the Nikkor 180/2.8 performs well but is too difficult to use effectively. It has no tripod mount and is too large and heavy to hang on the G1 tripod mount alone.
